Shipping & Fulfillment Policy

Shipping & Fulfillment Policy

At Shed Express, we work to make the delivery and setup of your portable building as simple and convenient as possible. This Shipping & Fulfillment Policy explains our general delivery process, customer responsibilities, and what to expect when purchasing a building from Shed Express.

1. Delivery Area

Shed Express provides delivery throughout our designated service area, including areas of North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, and Eastern Tennessee.

Delivery availability and pricing may vary depending on the customer's location, building size, delivery distance, and site accessibility.

Customers outside our standard delivery area are encouraged to contact Shed Express to determine whether delivery is available to their location.

2. Delivery & Setup

Delivery and standard setup are included with qualifying portable building purchases when specifically stated at the time of sale.

Standard setup generally includes transporting the building to the customer's property, positioning it in the approved location, and leveling the building according to normal installation procedures.

Additional charges may apply for unusual site conditions, excessive leveling, special equipment, additional labor, difficult access, or other services beyond a standard delivery and setup.

3. Delivery Scheduling

Once a building is ready for delivery, the customer will be contacted to arrange or confirm delivery details.

All delivery dates and estimated timeframes are subject to availability, weather conditions, manufacturing schedules, transportation conditions, and site accessibility.

Shed Express cannot guarantee an exact delivery date or arrival time unless specifically agreed to in writing.

4. Delivery Time Frame

Most Shed Express buildings are typically delivered within approximately 1–3 weeks after the order is completed and the building is ready for delivery.

Delivery timeframes are estimates and may vary depending on weather conditions, building availability, production schedules, delivery location, and site accessibility. All estimated delivery times are weather permitting and are not guaranteed.

Our team will work to schedule your delivery as quickly as possible and will communicate with you regarding any significant delays or scheduling changes.

5. Customer Site Preparation

Customers are responsible for having the delivery site prepared and accessible before the building arrives.

The building location should be reasonably level, stable, and accessible. Customers should ensure there is sufficient room for the delivery truck, trailer, building, and installation equipment to safely enter and maneuver on the property.

Grading, gravel pads, concrete pads, tree removal, fence removal, landscaping changes, or other site preparation is the customer's responsibility unless specifically included in the purchase agreement.

6. Delivery Access & Clearance

Customers are responsible for providing a safe and adequate delivery path to the building location.

The delivery route should be free from obstacles including trees, low-hanging branches, fences, gates, vehicles, structures, landscaping, and other obstructions.

Customers are also responsible for identifying any septic systems, drain fields, wells, irrigation systems, underground utilities, private utility lines, or other conditions that could be affected by delivery equipment.

Adequate clearance from overhead power lines and other overhead utilities must be provided.

7. Weather & Ground Conditions

Delivery may be postponed when rain, snow, ice, saturated ground, severe weather, or other conditions make delivery unsafe or create an unreasonable risk of damage.

Shed Express and its delivery personnel reserve the right to reschedule a delivery when site or weather conditions are unsuitable.

8. Property & Lawn Conditions

Portable building delivery requires trucks, trailers, and potentially other heavy equipment to enter the customer's property.

While reasonable care will be taken during delivery, customers understand that tire tracks, ruts, disturbed gravel, lawn impressions, or other minor property disturbance may occur, especially when ground conditions are wet or soft.

9. Failed or Inaccessible Deliveries

If a building cannot be delivered because the property is inaccessible, the site has not been properly prepared, adequate clearance has not been provided, or undisclosed obstacles prevent installation, the delivery may need to be rescheduled.

Additional delivery, transportation, or service charges may apply when a return trip is required due to conditions within the customer's responsibility.

10. Customer Inspection

Customers should inspect their building following delivery and setup.

Any visible delivery damage, missing options, or other concerns should be reported to Shed Express as soon as reasonably possible. Photographs or additional documentation may be requested to help evaluate the concern.

11. Custom & Made-to-Order Buildings

Custom and made-to-order buildings require production time before they can be scheduled for delivery.

Estimated production times are not guaranteed and may change due to material availability, manufacturing schedules, weather, demand, or other circumstances outside the reasonable control of Shed Express.

12. Order Fulfillment

An order is considered fulfilled once the applicable building has been delivered and standard setup has been completed, unless otherwise stated in the customer's purchase agreement.

Special orders, custom options, additional services, or separately purchased items may have different fulfillment timelines.
